Some suggestion form multi-page forms
-
Hi, David,
I’m building a survey form, and I’m planning to do it as a multi-page form. I have two pages in my form. In my first page, I have a “next page” button, and in the second page, I have a “previous page” button. I know that, if a page has some required fields, the next or previous page button won’t work. But I noticed that the user doesn’t see any visual clue about what’s going on. I even got confused at start and thought that I was doing something wrong when building the form. So my suggestion is to include a message or something like this when there is something wrong at the fields that prevent the user to go to another page.
Other thing that I noticed: in my second page, I have a bunch of radio fields, but none of them is required. The issue is that, when you’re building a radio field, there is the “No Default” option that prevent the field of being not filled, and it ended working as a required field. I think that this may be a little confusing (as it was for me at start) for user who are building forms. And it prevents too a multi-page form to go to another page (even pages that you filled before).
What do you think? Can I help somehow to work on this things?
Thanks for your attention!
