I’m still having this problem. It’s also on a page without the dropcap CSS mentioned above. The current problematic page has <center><iframe> and <h5>.
Ohh…. I just figured out what the problem is.
I just disabled a plugin that I really like called Post Editor Buttons Fork and the problem of the hidden text in the editor went away. Post Editor Buttons Fork has sadly not been updated in a long time. I wish I knew another plugin that did the same thing as Post Editor Buttons Fork and worked with HTML Editor Syntax Highlighter. Do you know one?
I am having the same issue, and I do not have Post Editor Buttons Fork installed.
Here’s a screenshot showing the problem:

(also occurs in English-language sites)
The text window will not scroll above where you see it in the screenshot. Line 1 is a paragraph tag. A temporary workaround is to use arrow keys to move the cursor to the top and then press Return a few times.
I’m not sure, but I think this started with the upgrade to WP 4.3.
Mac OS 10.9.5
Safari 7.1.8 (also occurs in Firefox and Chrome)
WordPress 4.3
Thanks, it’s good to know that I’m not the only one having that problem. It appears that anytime there are 2 rows of buttons, the text disappears at the top. I’ve disabled my extra buttons temporarily, but if I close my browser window to a narrow width, the second row of buttons happens and forces the hidden text at the top of the editor.
I would think that using fullscreen mode would be a better workaround than entering the unwanted returns.
Thanks, Elizabeth. That helped a lot and, yes, is a better workaround.
