Thank you for your message.
It seems like you have a different slideshow installed there at the moment and not our Slideshow Gallery plugin.
Let me know if you need further assistance with this.
Hi. Yes – I’ve just changed plugin now to one which doesn’t use timthumb. Thanks for your assistance all the same – very attentive service.
Thank you for your response.
I’m glad that you managed to find something that works for you.
Was TimThumb the problem specifically?
If all thumbnails didn’t work that would indicate a TimThumb problem but if only some of them didn’t work it would have to be something else.
Yes I hear you on the concept that it should be all or nothing in terms of the thumbs showing or not, but I think there must be some kind of conflict going on with the TimThumb generator as any other thumbs created using the native gallery or NextGen systems never have the issue and neither use TimThumb as far as I’m aware. I found something on another forum for a different plugin stating that they were also having this problem with TimThumb, so I put 2 and 2 together. Probably a problem specific to my setup – I’m using my own custom theme I created, so I might be responsible…. It’s hard to say!
I do still have the old gallery on a page not linked to on the site. I’ll delete it soon, but I can send you the link to that if you want. The biggest problem diagnosing the issue with this is that it’s an intermittent issue, so you won’t always see it. For my client, I had to be sure that the thumbs always showed, and this wasn’t always the case from what I saw.
