Can you tell us if you have any other plugins or theme options that also provide MailChimp integration and can you try disabling those so we can see if there’s any conflict on that end?

Did you update from previous version or were you couple of versions behind, if so do you know which version you had previous to update?
Could you perform a conflict test with your other plugins disabled and default WP theme active because I’m unable to replicate the issue on my end and this should help us with identifying the cause?
Also, did you create new list in MailChimp perhaps?
If you did can you try adding one subscriber manually directly from MailChimp and see if subscriptions from opt-in works after that?

I tried to deactivate a redirection plugin (it was activated, but not in use) and that worked!!! It now works like a charm! So I’m so sorry to have bothered you.

If you don’t mind me asking, can you tell me which redirection plugin you were using so we can see if we can fix this compatibility issue in case other users have same issues?
