There are several problems I’ve met. I use the default shortcode [gs_book_showcase theme=”gs_book_theme1″].
First is that the book page does not show, e.g., after adding a book, a permanent link is created domain.com/archives/books/book-2, but when I click there, I get the message Page not found. The same thing when I click on Details while hovering on the book’s picture, the destination is Page not found, so there is no way to read the whole excerpt.
Second, when I choose a square cover picture, then only the upper part of information appears during the hover, while there’s no way to read the lower part, e.g, publisher, URL, etc.

You’re right. I use numeric permalink, and, haven’t changed anything, but today the book details permalinks are working. That’s a good news, but the problem is it only shows a plain text, no cover, no descriptive information as are in the demo.
About the pictures, I used 1000×1000 px dimension and 1672 × 1061 ones. As I understand, the plugin needs only longitudinal square pictures of at least 600×900?
I gave the rating because it didn’t work, sure I will change it.
