Can you please tell me where you are adding the shortcode? Because i just checked that Theme has a news slider section in home page so i opened zerif-lite–>section–> latest_news.php file and add shortcode like:
echo do_shortcode( '[recent_post_slider design="design-4"]');
after the header section end and its working fine.
I also found that there is not any option under theme customization to replace the latest news section with shortcode.
Can you please explain me where you are adding the shortcode?

I’m adding it in the /zerif-lite/sections/latest_news.php file.
The code is
echo do_shortcode('[recent_post_slider limit="4" design="design-4" show_category_name="false" show_content="true" show_date="true" dots="false" arrows="true" autoplay="false" autoplay_interval="5000" speed="1000" content_words_limit="20"]');
instead of the code in file.
I don’t use any dashboard options, only direct code
Please download the following zip file and unzip:
demo.wponlinesupport.com/latest_news.zip
I have added latest_news.php file. Kindly replace this file with current one and check.

Hi,
I have an issue with design-4 too but I used the shortcode in the editor page.
The lastest posts doesn’t appear on screen width 767 and less…
