Also when I move out of the Category page to another area of the WordPress Dashboard and go back, it hasn’t saved.

We are very sorry, but there has been an issue with the plugin since WordPress 5.9. We thought it would be resolved with today’s update but it wasn’t. We need to look further into the issue.

Was the issue mentioned by @cherylstash related to the inability of ordering the terms after updating to WP 5.9.1?
You mention that it works now, what do you mean?
For me the ordering of terms is lost and reordering of terms does not work after 5.9.1. Moreover after saving and reloading the taxonomy page, all terms still reorder alphabetically.
