Sort Hidden Columns

Hello,

It would be nice if the sort capabilities were somehow in a separated form like the filters can be.

I would like to hide most columns but still be able to sort by their values.

Is there any way to make a dropdown that could trigger the sorting?

I noticed on your website that hidden columns are still loaded so the info is there it is just about how to access the sort function.

I was looking through jquery datatables and stackoverflow and found a couple of examples of dropdown sort functions. But I really have no idea where to start.
