Sort not sorting in correct order

When sorting a column with a number value, it is not possible to sort ascending or descending. when clicking the column sorting happens but it is just random.

10 could be before 11 and then 10 could also be after 11 for example, both sorting asc and des do this for all values, the sort just appears random.

Is there a workaround or am I using it wrong?
