Sorting Issues With Job Listing?

    I am using a Job Template to list jobs and it is working nicely except for sorting. When I choose to sort by Job Title it changes the order but does not sort in alpha order. Also, if I choose to sort by a custom date field it does not sort in chronological order.

    Is there something I am doing wrong to get sort order to work properly? Thanks for your help!!
