Spacing Between Short Posts

Good afternoon, I am very new at wordpress so please bear with me. I maintain a website for our church and recently added a page for one of our Women’s Groups. The problem is when i post info the spacing is all weird….if its a short post, the posts get jammed together on one line. I’ve searched the support forums and tried several of the suggestions to no avail. (most deal with putting space between posts ie margins….that still doesn’t fix my issue).
