I am using the Recent Posts Widget in the Footer Sidebar One and whilst it lists the last 4 posts, it doesn’t show the thumbnail image set in the featured image of each post. It should show the thumbnails like in the spacious pro demo site , in the footer should it not?

Can you try using Recent Posts Widget Extended plugin available in the WordPress Plugin directory and check?
