    I receive a lot of comments daily, which also brings along lots of spammers. I currently run Akismet which does work.
    But some spam still comes through.

    Can you use more than one anti spam plugin at the same time?
    Or does anyone have a recommended plugin that is the best?

    I might have to hold all new comments until I can approve them.

    Sure. Many of us use Cookies for Comments with Akismet. They seems to work well together.

    I might have to hold all new comments until I can approve them.

    That could be a lot of comments to examine and time consuming. 😉

    Try adding that second plugin. I still occasionally get a SPAM comment but most of the get picked up and marked as spam.

    With the plugins activated, I removed 600 spam comments.
