You may try anti-spam plugin.
It blocks spam in comments without captcha.
It is very easy to use: just install and it works invisibly for admin (without moderation queues) and for users (without capcha).

The best one I’ve ever used (and continue to use) is Captcha.

Hi,
I have built a WP site for a client, and she keeps getting these spam-ish comments, although all comment functions are inactivated as far as I can see. What can be done about this?
