I was recently moving a site to new hosting and in the process added the Sucuri plugin. After restoring JUST the themes, I got a Sucuri error saying: “*Known Spam detected – Security warning in the URL (for Google’s UA).” I deleted all but one theme and then dug into the theme file and found the offending spam (written in Base 64). Even after deleting the offending spam and with NO other content restored into the site, I’m still getting the error code. Sitecheck.Sucuri.net shows it as clean. Could someone please explain the error/result code? I can’t think of any other place I could look besides the theme file since that’s the only thing added to the site.

The plugin caches the result of the malware scan in this file [1].

The cache is automatically reset after 20 minutes but you can force it earlier from the “Data Storage” panel located in the plugin’ settings page. You can also delete the file manually via FTP, SFTP, or the file manager provided by your hosting panel.
