Spam Orders Prevention?

    Dear Marcel,

    Is there a way how ‘La Sentinelle’ can be used against spam orders, i.e. on the checkout page in WooCommerce?

    For example, can ‘La Sentinelle’ add a honeypot field to the checkout page in the same way as it protects various forms?

    At the moment, a bot can place a spam order, that also creates a customer account, by placing a fake order on the checkout page using fake credit card details. This type of order will show within the back-end of WooCommerce as ‘pending payment’.

    It would be great, if you had a solution for both the ‘classic’ and the ‘block’ based checkout in WooCommerce.

    Hi Piet,

    I just tested, and the classic checkout page has spamfilters for checkout/registration. It just needs to be enabled in the settings for forms.

    I didn’t test with a block based checkout. I will check also if that works.

    Hi,

    Only the classic checkout is supported.

    I don’t see a good way to support the block editor, it’s all JavaScript, no PHP.
    You could ask on the support forum of WooCommerce.
