    Based on our analysis, these emails are likely being triggered by WordPress system notifications whenever a new user registers or a password is updated. Here are the most probable causes and recommended actions:

    It appears that “Anyone can register” may be enabled in your WordPress settings. This allows bots or unauthorized users to create accounts, which in turn triggers these automated email alerts.

    Wordfence may also be configured to send alerts for user registrations, password resets, or logins.

    Further Recommendations:

    • Enable CAPTCHA or reCAPTCHA protection on your registration and login pages.
    • Review your user list and remove any unknown accounts.

    Once these adjustments are made, the unwanted emails should stop.
