    Sorry for the delay, just want to make sure I understand. The UTF8 characters are not currently rendering? One option may be to see if your database is able to save UTF8 characters. If not then it’s most likely an issue with how WordPress is saving the content to your database. In the mean time you may be able to use something like http://amp-what.com/ to see what characters you can use other than those that are breaking the captions.

    For ‘ try & apos; (no space) or & #39; (no space) and see if that helps.
