    Hi Janet,

The contact form included with the plugin is meant to be a simple drop-in contact form for a contact page…that simply won’t get spammed. It does not have the ability add extra fields, as it is not meant to be a configurable and full-featured contact form, like some other contact form plugins out there.

However, the plugin will work with almost all other contact form plugins out there, without you having to do a thing. Just install your contact form plugin and add a form to your site, and WP-SpamShield will handle the rest. For more info on the contact form and how it works: http://www.redsandmarketing.com/plugins/wp-spamshield/installing-contact-form/

Hope that helps! Have a good one!

    Thank you Scott,

I work with Contact Form 7. If I make a Contact Form can it be used as the registration form.

    That was my hope.

    Hi Janet,

You’re very welcome. When you say “registration form” that has two meanings in WordPress…one is the registration form for WordPress itself (Where new users sign up for memberships on your site), and the 2nd is what you mentioned in your original post…a registration/signup for for email lists.

Each of these 2 types of registration, and the contact forms, all use different mechanisms within WordPress.

Regarding email list registration/signup forms, it really will depend on what email system you are using, because it would require a plugin to adapt it to your particular email system. For example I know that there are plugins to adapt Contact Form 7 to work with MailChimp. You may want to Google around for that or contact the email list provider you are using for support.

    Hope that helps.
