    Hi Anthony,

first up thank you for creating such a wonderful starter theme. I have had a look at a few and just love how simple you have kept everything. That said I am complete newbie to wordpress.

I do have a question I wonder if you can assist with. Basically I am going to use your theme as a template to an almost static business site.

I have had a look at your FAQ’s and can see that when you created your home page example you used text boxes, and HTML to put the image in place.

I know how to create a static front page etc. But what I want to do is display specific posts/pages in some of the widgets, so that it is easy to just edit that particular page/post and hopefully style the page/widget area separately. Is there a way to do this or am I over thinking things?

    Thanks

    Ian

    Hi Ian,

    Thanks for the kind words.

If you want to display Page or Post content on the homepage without editing the actual homepage template yourself, I would suggest having a look for a suitable plugin. There should be quite a few that have that sort of functionality. You could try looking at some of these to see if they’re suitable – https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/search.php?q=display+posts
