Specified file failed upload test 2.5

    I too am having problems with 2.5 not uploading photos. I keep getting the error message:

    Specified file failed upload test.

    I’ve read that I need to add some code to my .htaccess file…where would that be? I’ve looked and looked. Would there be any other things I need to do?

    Hi jackfussell,

    Might be a privileges issue.

    the .htaccess file must be in the site root folder.

    Also, have you chmod your upload directory to something like 755?

    If still no success, can you upload any other kind of file, or just photos?
