Specify template in URL?

    I’ve been looking and looking and haven’t found such a thing, but is there a way to specify what template is used to display a post in the URL?

    What I mean is something like:
    blog.com/?p=23&template=special

    For my purposes, neither conditional tags nor category templates will work.
