Thanks for implementing thev seachspinner, i’ve install the update, but for my site it isn;t working at all.

Since your update, the searchbuttin dissapear after submit. The is no spinner, and no searching message.

And, after this update, the siteloading takes almost 2 seconds longer.

    See my site,

Ok, I can see a bbpress widget in top right – I need to look at how I adjust that – I hadn’t coded for widgets, just the default one in the forums list. bbpress widgets are almost impossible to alter ! But did you mean that one or another, as I can’t see it ‘disappear after submit’

On speed, I tested you site in pingdom https://tools.pingdom.com/#!/LLZ06/http://opel-forum.nl/ and it took 2.66 seconds to load, and I cannot see anything in there from me that is slowing it.

yes i used the searchwidget in the header.
I had disable the spinnerfunction for search. It slows down my site. I enable it now for 15 minutes so you can see the slowdown.

Some pages are cachepages so you can’t test with this pages.

This page isn’t a cached page and load normaly in 2 seconds. With activate the search spinner it takes 4 seconds.

Nothing to do with this, but.

When you can make an advanced fast search for BBpress you have a big hit.
Searching BBpress is bad, slow and has no options to search.

ok, yes I can see why the widget would have this disappearing.

I need to look at the widget code – as I say I had done this code for the main forum display.

ok, i understand. I hope i have help you to make this option better.
I disable this function now to win some seconds, and wait for the new update.

Thx for your great work. Together we can make it better.

don’t understand why it adds seconds though – but maybe I will when I get into the code 🙂

I think it is the extra .js

Every extra .js slows down the site. And my site has almost to many

Could well be – although the js is only a few lines long.

When I look I’ll see if I can do this better 🙂

maybe a few days though as I’m on paid work at the mo

ok, I’ve had a better look.

Version 3.3.9 improves the way it loads, but I think it may not work as a header widget – I’ve got an outstanding with wordpress to understand why this may be happening.

At the moment it works in the body, but not in sidebars.

Best I can do at the moment !
