Same here. I get that you want to sell the pro version, but this is obnoxious.
I disabled the plugin until the author replies, cannot do this! Is very annoying and has an opposite effect.

I also removed it and replaced with other plugins that do the job just as well, even at the expense of additional work/effort on my part to locate the posts with videos in them to replace the shortcodes.
I only needed a responsive YouTube plugin, nothing fancy….and there are others out there that are free, and that do a great job too.
This annoying splash screen notice sticks even on a pop up preview screen, LOL.
Yes, ARVE is a good video plugin, but I hope the plugin author realizes the drawbacks of annoying his plugin users ;p

So sorry! This was a thing I did for testing. I woke up this morning and this line of code was in my head, did check it and I did indeed forget to remove that.

I already did 20 hours ago when I posted the message above. I double checked the code and the line is removed (commented out)
You should get version 8.6.6 if not try visiting your “installed plugins” screen. If you still not get the auto update notification. You can download the lates from wp.org delete the old version and install the newest from .zipfile in your admin.
Again sorry for this, was a bad mistake. You cant imagine what I have in my head these days besides php code.
