    Hello

Is it possible to split an order and tell which item goes on specific sub order?

For exemple, you have 4 items (A,B,C,D) in your main order, and you want to split this order into 2 sub orders: each sub order will contain 2 items

So sub order 1 will contain products A and B and sub order 2 products C and D

The idea is of course to choose which product will be part of sub order 1 or sub order 2

    Another exemple:

Main item contain 4 items again, and you want to split into 3 sub orders:
Sub order 1 will contain item A
Sub order 2 will contain item B and C
Sub order 3 will contain item D

    Maximum flexibility.

    Thank you

Yes, it’s possible but please be specific about the sub-folder. At the moment, these items are orders and orders can be updated with different order statuses. Do you mean any further order status?

I am resolving this thread because it’s a discussion instead of bug report, but still we can continue our discussion here.

Thank you for your quick answer, so it’s good news for our project.

I want these sub orders to be link with the main order.

IE: 1 main order and you split it into 2 sub orders. When both sub orders are marked as completed, the main order is automaticaly mark as completed as well.

Nice, it’s possible. But it’s just one case, is there any other case?

I have to install your plugin and test it on website to see if there are others scenarios.

Amazing, so ABCD are same kind of products without any difference? There should be a rule which will help us to decide that on what parameters we should do this action.

No, product A is different from product B or product C. It was just an example.

I want to have more than 1 item per sub forder.

But there should be a rule or logic to split them. Are you sure that you will feel comfortable in selecting items and making groups to manage like separate folders?

Yes exactly, i want to select items manually. In my case we have big orders and all items can’t fit into one package. So we need to split into one or more orders
