  • Hi,
Could you please elaborate more details regarding what happens now when you try to log in your website? I understand you are getting an alert email that someone tried to “reset your password” but I’m not sure how this is preventing you from logging in your website?

    Thanks.

    Wfalaa,

I believe I have figured it out and it is reduced to an annoyance. Every email I receive from Wordfence has the header,

[This sender failed our fraud detection checks and may not be who they appear to be. Learn about spoofing at http://aka.ms/LearnAboutSpoofing%5D%5D

The company that is hosting my wordpress account provided this insight:

“Wordfence, in many cases, is an amazing plugin, but it can cause issues. We have heightened security on our servers, and that does appear to upset WordFence. As such, we recommend disabling WordFence.”

Now that I know the source, understand how it is being generated, and know that I can still access my account albeit with an annoying false positive message, I can live with it. the extra protection that Wordfence provides is worth it (ps. I have upgraded to premium)
