Any time I attempt to upload a spreadsheet to bulk import products I get a http 500 error.

I have attempted several different spreadsheet formats and as a csv file. Nothing I do seems to work.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Hi kindler,

An HTTP 500 error/internal server error, is a vague error that doesn’t really explain what’s causing it. What we’ve found in the past is that it’s usually caused by either a mess-up in some plugin code or conflicting code between two plugins. We’ve done some digging through the WordPress forums (looking at threads like the one here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/wordpress-is-currently-unable-to-handle-this-request/) and that does seem to be the consensus. I’d recommend that you try deactivating all other plugins (besides ours) to see if you can then import. If it works, then you can try re-activating the other plugins one by one to see which is causing the conflict.

Thanks. I have deactivated all the plugins except for product catalog and still get the same http 500 error. Any other thoughts on why this is occurring?

    Hi Kindler,

Could you send us your site’s error log ? You can email it to us at [email protected] (note: make sure to reference this forum thread when you do 🙂 )
