I have been running this plugin for a couple of weeks and I am not able to reproduce the results it is giving.
I even most my entire multisite installation to a faster host just to confirm, which got my page load speed down to 1.5s, but no difference in the results from this plugin.

It is telling me that the average page load speed is 4.5 seconds, however ANY time I test this, I get 1.5s on average.
It is telling me my slowest page takes 23s to load. Again I am not able to reproduce this, every single time I test, the page loads fast.

I also have automatic performance testing setup with gtmetrix which runs daily, and that also matches my own tests and does not correspond with the results of this plugin.

When is this plugin running its tests from? Is it from Australia, if so, I think that may be skewing the response times.

  • Buenas, ¿has probado a monitorizar tu site con https://tools.pingdom.com/? Tiene una beta de 14 días. Para mi es la mejor herramienta con la que puedes ver eso que comentas.

I can’t see your results, so it’s difficult to say.

Are you talking about the load test results (‘load test’ tab) ? or the results from watching real users (the ‘hosting check’ tab).

if it’s the load test, you can choose Australia or the US. If it is load test – perhaps you can share your results page for me to review. How many users are you load testing for? gtmetrix only tests as 1 user.

If it is the ‘hosting check’ those are real results from real users. Users are sometimes far away from the server, and have slow internet or slow devices. Sometimes it’s the caching that you are using – some hits do not get cached.

I am referring to the wp Hosting Performance check

I have NEVER once been able to reproduce the slow speeds this is reporting.

The whole idea is that some results, when you aren’t looking, when the pages aren’t cached are slow.

this is recording real hits. you should be able to match my results back to apache access_log files and see for yourself.
