The WooCommerce Square extension does enable credit card payments via Square, but, unfortunately does not allow for Square gift cards as payment.
There are other ways to create gift cards that can be used with WooCommerce — we have a variety of different options in the WooCommerce.com marketplace here:

Thanks, that’s what I feared – we’re looking for cards that will work in person at our store or markets, as well as online from our website. It seems that’s too difficult :/

@kellymetal some notes… gift card “almost works” already!
I tested a gift card form Square and it actually worked on your checkout, I put in fake exp + CVV and ran the Gift Card, exciting, also my Gift Card shows as a “Saved Payment” in my WooCommerce account.
Do you plan to expand this feature to work?? We are looking at custom work to extend it.

Sorry, currently there aren’t any plans on the Square gift cards front. It would be great to have you add your ideas to the Ideas Board, which is where developers go to look for future plugin features and improvements.

I know that the team internally have been discussing this at times so we are very aware of this being a desire of many merchants like yourself. I appreciate this isn’t a solution for you or @ahennell but we will release this functionality when we can.
