    We have woocommerce and the square plugin installed. All items have synced from WC to square. When we sell something on WC the inventory is not being adjusted and remains at original quantity. When we sell something using our POS it will adjust the inventory in WC just fine. If we shut off the square sync and an order is placed the inventory is adjusted in WC just fine but obviously does not adjust the quantity in our square inventory since it is not synced. Square settings in WC is set to WC as the Product system of record but it seems that square overwrites all the inventory. Is there a fix for this somehow? We are selling product online that we do not have in stock because inventory is not getting adjusted in WC. I have read a lot of threads and mostly is about syncing the products which that works just fine it is the inventory after a online sale that I can’t get fixed.

    If I understood your issue correctly, the following happens on your site:

    – your System of Record is set to WooCommerce
    – when an order for a product is placed in WooCommerce, stock count for this product is not being reduced in WooCommerce unless Square sync is disabled for this product

    I ran the exact same scenario on my test site:

    – I set System of Record to WooCommerce
    – I placed an order for a product which is synced with Square (I used Cash on Delivery payment method for testing purposes)
    – I see in Order Notes that stock has been reduced:

    – I see that stock is reduced in WooCommerce product and it was immediately synced to Square as well

    If what you see is different, I’m wondering if I’m not replicating it correctly, or there is something on your site that prevents Square from functioning properly.

    I’d need the following additional information from you to look into the cause further:

    – do you see an order note about stock being reduced when you place your order?
    – is stock reduced on the Inventory tab of this product page in wp-admin?
    – which payment method do you use to place these orders?

    Lastly, please send us a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report and then “Copy for support”.  Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.
