This is for Woo to Square. Not Square to Woo.. If your problem is the latter than don’t read my message.
I had this same problem. I added sku’s to all my products. You can use a plugin to make sku’s automatically if you dont care about sku’s.
They put it on the requirements on their site not here. Also, this should be next to the manual export button. Like a notice or when the plugin gets installed by a notification.
Requirements
WooCommerce 2.6.0+
PHP version 5.3+
WordPress 4.4+
cURL installed on your server
Square account
An SSL Certificate
A business location set in your Square account
Syncing products with WooCommerce Square requires that you have SKUs assigned to all products, including each product variation (if applicable).

Hi @gpbell,
Hopping on @moptop’s excellent reply, the Requirements are correct, and covered in the link.
Also, be sure to do a manual sync after connecting WooCommerce to Square, under WooCommerce > Settings > Integration > Square. As mentioned in the documentation:
For syncing to function correctly, you must do a one-time initial bulk sync — from WooCommerce (WC) to Square or Square to WooCommerce. This provides the initial “link up” between the two platforms.
If you have not added SKU’s to the products and done the bulk sync, please do so and let us know the results!
Hi @gpbell,
As we have not heard from you in a bit I will go ahead and close this thread. If you continue to have issues please open a new thread. Have a super day!
