Hi @paulson101,
Thank you for reaching out. To help me better understand your request, could you please clarify the sync direction — are you syncing from WooCommerce to Square or from Square to WooCommerce?
The problem is the variation names in Square are not the ones we use on the site, same as the pricing. I am trying to only sync the stock levels
If I understand correctly, you have products in both WooCommerce and Square with different names and prices, but you’d like their stock levels to stay the same.
Could you please confirm if that’s correct?
I am syncing from Square to WooCommerce. We want Square to hold the stock levels. Then if an order is made on woocommerce, it’ push that stock change.
The products are all the same, based on SKU. We just have different names for them on each side. And the pricing is different on the online store, versus the Square which is also used in store.
Thanks!
Hi @paulson101,
Thank you for the clarification. Unfortunately, WooCommerce Square doesn’t currently support syncing only stock levels while excluding names, prices, or other product details.
When syncing from Square to WooCommerce, the plugin updates product names, descriptions, prices, inventory, images, and categories. However, the sync works on an all or nothing basis, so selective syncing like stock only isn’t available.
This means that even if the SKUs match, having different product names or prices between Square and WooCommerce will prevent a stock-only sync from working as expected.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
It’s been a while since we heard back from you for this reason we are closing this thread.
