Square widget – postcode field not updating

    I’m trying to allow users to pay outside of the UK, the settings are correct and when I change the country field the Square widget reloads as it tries to fetch the country to update the post code field to zip code or other/none. But for some reason this isn’t working – when any country outside the UK is selected the postcode field is not re-written.

    Please could you advise;

    Thank you for reaching out!

    I understand that on https://www.roebuckestates.co.uk/, when a ZIP code is added, the country is changed and a new ZIP code is entered, in this exact sequence – the ZIP code field under credit card fields is not updated, is that right?

    Indeed, when the ZIP code is updated – the Square credit card form is not always updated on your site.

    I’ve attempted to replicate this behaviour on my test site and I was not able to. I also see some JavaScript errors on your checkout pages:

    Since this behaviour seems to be isolated to your WordPress/WooCommerce install – there’s a chance this is likely caused by either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
     
    The best way to determine whether that’s the case is to:
     

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    If you’re not seeing the same behaviour with all plugins except for WooCommerce and Square disabled, as well as the default Storefront theme activated – this means this behaviour is caused by one of the plugins and/or theme you deactivated.

    To figure out which plugin is causing this behaviour, you can reactivate your plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.

    Hi,

    I’m experiencing the same issue when using ship to specific countries & sell to specific countries. I’ve tried using a default theme e.g. twenty twelve and experience the same issue.

    Could you confirm connecting the same square account to another website does not disconnect the previous (live website) connection?

    Do you have an example site you could provide where Square for WooCommerce allows shipping to countries outside the UK?
