    I am unable to make the sliding navigation use https://. It is causing the site to be not fully secure. I have deleted it and added it again and still the links do not use the https://. Any ideas?

    If SSL certificate is installed properly then there should be another issue. Have you checked your site for SSL errors using tools? If not you can refer to below suggested tool. Is your navigation using files within (i.e. image, video)? If yes, then you may be suffering with mixed content warning.
