I tried to apply some changes in WPFC settings to resolve the issue, so I unchecked the “Combine JS” feature; the error changed to:

A file with an insecure url of “http://my-domain-name.com/wp-json/wordpress-popular-posts/v1/popular-posts/” was loaded via the javascript file: https://my-domain-name.com/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-popular-posts/public/js/wpp-4.2.0.min.js?ver=4.2.2 on line 0.

I already used a SSL fix plugin before to replace http with https, and it resolved the SSL issues, but apparently it is recurring again.

Do you think it is related to WordPress installation, the theme used, or WordPress Popular Posts plugin?

Sorry; it appears that it’s “WordPress Popular Posts” plugin that is the source of the issue. And yet, its developer assured me that the opposite.
Anyway, I deactivated it and the error has gone.
    Sorry for disturbing you.

Well, just to not denigrate the “WordPress Popular Posts” plugin that I find really well done, I think the SSL error could be from another source even if I can’t test that right now and even if it appears on a URL related to it!
Just my opinion from a non WordPress expert.
