SSL for Single Pages

    Hi,

    On my WordPress site I have 2 pages, which each contain a single form (not credit card info, but sensitive patient healthcare and history information). These forms need to be secured via SSL (I have a private SSL), but I’m not sure how to do that in WordPress. At first I thought the SSL Admin plugin would be the solution, but after reading more it seems the plugin just secures the admin pages or possibly other PHP files, but not individual or select WordPress pages.

    Is it possible, using this plugin or something else entirely, to secure individual WordPress pages using a SSL certificate or do I need to be looking in another direction?

    Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

    Right now I’m using WordPress version 2.6.3

    Hi,

    It turns out the Admin SSL plugin was what I needed after all. According to the plugin’s author (who was very fast and courtious when responding to my question):

    Absolutely – if you have Private SSL you can secure individual URLs – that is why the box is called ‘Additional URLs’ rather than ‘Additional Pages’. So, if you wanted to secure site.com/blog/some-secure-page/ you would add ‘some-secure-page/’ to the Additional URLs box.

    This plug-in renders my admin site unusable. I’m on 2.8.4. When trying to visit the admin login page, firefox responds with redirection errors and I cannot load the page. had to FTP and delete the Admin SSL plug-in.

    The idea of being able to select on a page by page basis what was SSL was very attractive though!
