So for anyone who finds themselves in the same / similar position, I checked with my hosting and found that although it is on the same IP, I need to get a second SSL certificate with SNI to use it properly. I just assumed it was one per IP / Hosting account.

As far as I know and as far as I’ve tested so far on multiple sites and configurations, the plugin completely supports HTTPS.
So if there is an HTTPS security issue it is highly possible that it is caused either by a non-secured resource or by another plugin or theme code not supporting the cross domain functionality.
I’d be glad to help you, but I need some more information. It would be great if you can provide the URLs where I can test this issue. And in case you can’t, it would be useful if you could provide step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the issue, and probably a couple of screenshots and/or a detailed description (or best – screenshot) of the security error. This would help me diagnose the issue in attempt to help you resolve it.

I just read your last message. So it appears that this issue was caused by your SSL certificate – it was only for one domain, but not for the other? This is often the case when working with multiple domains and SSL.

Yes, it turns out the SSL was per domain not per IP. You can do it per IP if you have your server set up a certain way but the way I have it running, I could not.
