SSL redirect error [the cliffnotes]

    My WP site is hosted by GoDaddy
    I have had WP and WooCommerce installed and running since late April.
    About 5 days ago, my site began redirecting to an HTTPS. My “comming soon!” parking page has been replaced by an SSL certificate error. I do not have an SSL cert.

    I posted a long version of this detailing what methods I have already tried to fix this, and any other information I thought might be useful or prevent an expert from wasting his/her time on this issue, but it reads like a dissertation. Sorry.

    Please help… already tried searching the ftp for wp-config.php forced SSL problems and such. Nada.

    Can you please list here the domain name with the issue. We can use online tools to verify certain things like DNS and SSL…

    Also just simply let us know:

    Can you verify you did not let the domain name ownership lapse?

    Why? That makes the most sense. The domain lapsed, someone else bought it, and is now adding an SSL…

    I’ve never seen an SSL added to a compromised site…
