I’m currently using WP Staging to create a staging environment for my website. My main domain already has a valid SSL certificate in place. However, I’m unsure if the staging site requires its own SSL certificate or if it can share the main domain’s certificate. Could you please clarify the SSL requirements for staging sites, particularly in scenarios where the staging site is set up in a subdirectory?

    Hi @yourbudweiser ,

If your staging site is created in a subdirectory of the main domain (e.g., example.com/staging-site), it shares the same domain and SSL certificate. So, you don’t need a separate SSL certificate—your existing one will cover the staging environment as well.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
