SSL Required in future?

When i was scrolling through Facebook, I saw an advert from WordPress saying that they will be forcing SSL in future.
Can you please advise if this is true for ww.wp.xz.cn and where I can read more about it?

It is true that certain parts of WordPress will require SSL in the future, but certainly not the whole thing.
