Staging for content using git?

    When I google about setting up staging environments for wordpress, using git to deploy, they all seem to be about “setting up and testing themes and plugins”.

    Can I have a staging/dev wordpress that literally _is_ the source of my live site, in terms of contents as well? And deploy it all using git?
