    It seems that the plugin is unable to determine whether the website is a staging site or not meaning that on some occasions the staging site sends data to Meta Commerce Manager overwriting the product link from the production site link to the staging site link.

    Is there any way to avoid this, or could some staging mode function be added to the plugin?

    Hi @roberthemsing – thanks for reaching out!

    The plugin, and Commerce Manager itself platform can’t distinguish the items in the catalog as staging, or production. If you want to stop syncing the items from your Staging site, you can uncheck the “Enable product sync” option under the “Product Sync” tab.

    You can also open a thread on the GitHub issues page, so the Dev team can consider this for future releases.

    Hi @marijastuntcoders – disabling Product sync only helps when in Meta Commerce Manager natively the option to pull products/updates/deleted products directly from the pixel is disabled too. The setting doesn’t distinguish between production or staging/sub domains either so the only way to stop the sync fully is to disable the plugin but that defeats the purpose in case we’re troubleshooting an issue or conflict where the Facebook plugin might be involved.

    In any case, I’ve logged the idea here.

    Hi @roberthemsing ,

    If you only want to test the plugin for conflicts (and avoid syncing products) to your catalog, you can do the following:

    • Delete the conflicting items from your Catalog
    • Disable the Sync on your Staging site (using the “Facebook  Sync”> “Exclude” option in the Bulk Menu, and disabling sync from the “Product Sync” tab)
