    Hello,

I need some clarification. On my production site I have installed the Google Site Kit plugin with the services connected: Search Console, Google ADSense, Analytics, Page Speed and Tag Manager.

When I make a staging site via my provider, Siteground, I find my site available at the address: ‘staging2.example.com’.

The problem is that I also find Google Site Kit installed on the staging site and it shows me the production data. If I try to disconnect it, it also disconnects me from the site in production. This if it happens leads to me removing Google ADSense and Tag Manager codes. I am afraid to leave it connected because I am afraid it might cause me problems with Google ADSense.

How do I make sure this does not happen? Am I doing something wrong? Is there any way to make this not happen?

    Thank you

Hello @fyase thanks for opening a support topic with us. Great question, I have been doing some testing with this in our own SiteGround environment and have found that it should be possible for you to reset Site Kit on your staging site without any impact on Site Kit for your production site.

To do this, visit your staging site and go to Site Kit > Settings > Admin Settings > Reset Site Kit. Once you have reset Site Kit on your staging site, go back to your production site and ensure that Site Kit is still connected. Please do feel free to share any recordings should this not work for you so that I can see what is happening for you.

Let me know if you have any questions on the above information.

    Hi Adam,

I tried what you advised me and seems to work. Probably last time instead of did what you suggested I clicked on the user icon ( on top right ) and then I clicked disconnect.
