Staging site and Jetpack data problem

    I’ve created a staging site yesterday and this has put my live site into Jetpack safe mode rather than the staging site. The two notification boxes have appeared in the live site:

    Move Jetpack data
    Move all your settings, stats, and subscribers to your other URL, edinburghgreens.org.uk.temp.link. staging.edinburghgreens.org.uk will be disconnected from Jetpack.
    staging.edinburghgreens.org.uk
    edinburghgreens.org.uk.temp.link
    Move your settings

    Treat each site as independent sites
    edinburghgreens.org.uk.temp.link settings, stats, and subscribers will start fresh. staging.edinburghgreens.org.uk will keep its data as is.
    staging.edinburghgreens.org.uk
    edinburghgreens.org.uk.temp.link
    Create a fresh connection

    From this I don’t know what to do to ensure my live site retains its Jetpack data. I think what used to happen was that the boxes appeared in the staging site and I chose ‘Treat each site as independent sites’ with the staging site creating a fresh connection.

    Can anyone help?

    That is helpful – thank you – I managed a temporary fix but this might help me in the future with staging and Jetpack
