    Hi,
    We are trying out your plugin as a replacement for Jetpack Publicize. This is being an uphill battle because of roadblocks on the Facebook end but this is an issue which isn’t helping. The “click to start sharing” button keeps turning itself off. Every time we discover this and click it again there is a flood of activity in the sharing queue. At this point we know there is more troubleshooting to do but this would at least keep Twitter going.

    What’s working: when the button is pushed text-only messages are getting through to Twitter, so that much is working.

    (If you have any suggestions about how to get Facebook Business Manager to allow a page and the website to be added we’re encountering just about every possible obstacle their docs fail to address.)

    Thank you

    Hi there, can you ensure you’re using the latest version of the plugin? The latest version is v8.5.1

    I say that because there’s no need to use Business manager to get the featured images to show in your shares anymore.

    Can you let us know if the primary problem is the plugin automatically stopping itself from sharing? If so we might have to take a closer look at your setup, a plugin might be interfering and stopping Revive Old Posts from carrying out it’s functions

    Hi,

    The plugin is the current version. In the process of solving other problems (or refining other solutions which may in turn have caused new problems) I have commented out this
    define('DISABLE_WP_CRON', true);
    in the wp-config.php file.

    This appears to have given the sharing button back at least some of it’s functionality. There was a new message stating that all posts had been shared and to turn off and restart sharing if repeats were desired. I did this and cleared the logs. When turned on it says it shared one each to Facebook and Twitter, but the shares still aren’t going through. A few (nothing from today) have gotten through to Twitter, but nothing has ever shown up on Facebook. If the Business Manager can be skipped that would be great, but this has gone in so many circles now that it’s reached the head bashing stage. Any help would be appreciated.
