Started new wordpress with same user, old one is broken

    I recently started another wordpress site using the same username and email as the last one I set up. Now I cannot login to the first one. I added a new user and deleted the original user from the second wordpress site. I have also tried changing the username and password in myPHPAdmin on the first site, but I can’t login and nothing appears correctly. It seems the content is there, but all the style and images don’t show up. Can I reinstall wordpress with a new username on that site without losing everything? I’ve backed up the files and the database, but I think the database needs to be reinstalled.

    Well I guess I’m the first one to figure it out. I think the main problem had to do with switching domains. I had to update the website URL in the database using myPHPAdmin, and then all other references to the site URL in the admin panel and update my image links and so forth. Everything appears to be back to normal now. I’ll leave this up in case someone else has this problem!
