Static Front Page

    Okay. I hope you guys can help. I’m having a really hard time. I have downloaded several themes, I want to customize one so that it looks like my website, rather than a blog, with the blog on only one page.

    However, every time I select ‘static page’ for the front page, the look of the them disappears. IOW, so I choose a theme with a large banner photo and three separate photos underneath. But if I chose it to be a static page, the photos go away and only the page … let’s say the contact page … appear, without the look of the theme to speak of.

    Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong? I’m sorry if this is remedial. I’m on 4.3.1.
