For some time now, the dashboard will display some Burst data, but if I select “statistics”, the page in completely blank. I saw a discussion about 5 month ago but don’t know if this got resolve or if I have the same issue. Any suggestions? Thanks, Mitch

    Hi @mitch1138,

I think the thread from 5 months ago will not offer much help because most of the tech behind Burst has changed since then.

Could you explain what you see? When you click on ‘Statistics’ everything disappears? Or do you see blocks? Or is everything empty?

Also to help us get to the problem quicker, could you check if there are any errors in the console on the statistics page? You can check the console by right-clicking. Click on ‘Inspect’ or ‘Inspect element’. Then you can click ‘Console’. If there are any errors, could you please copy them and paste them here?

    Kind regards,
    Hessel

Thanks for the reply. When I click on ‘Statistics’ I see three blank areas, a long rectangle on top and two smaller squares on the bottom. The console shows two errors captured below:

    and the page displayed {"code":"rest_forbidden","message":"Sorry, you are not allowed to do that.","data":{"status":401}}

    Hi @mitch1138,

Could you try and resave the permalinks? If that does not work, is it possible that you are using a security plugin? If so which plugin are you using?

    Kind regards,
    Hessel

    Hello,

I am not sure what you mean by “resave the permalinks”. If I try to get into the Burst settings I get the same black boxes. I am not running any security plugins in wordpress except “limit logins”.

    Hi @mitch1138,

To resave the permalinks, you can go to the WordPress Settings > Permalinks. It also looks like you are using plain permalinks, this should not be an issue, but they are usually not recommended if you want to be found by search engines.

    Kind regards,
    Hessel

Thank you. I resaved the plain permalinks (not really interested in search engines finding me). N o change in behavior.l

    Hi @mitch1138,

I think the issue is either:
    1. A plugin conflict (Most likely)
    2. An issue with your hosting or our plugin

To check if there is a plugin conflict, I recommend you install and activate “Health Check”: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/
It will add some additional features under the menu item under Tools > Site Health.

On its troubleshooting tab, you can Enable Troubleshooting Mode. This will disable all plugins, switch to a standard WordPress theme (if available), allow you to turn your plugins on and off and switch between themes, without affecting normal visitors to your site. This allows you to check if another plugin is conflicting with Burst.

After you have activated Troubleshooting Mode, you can just activate Burst and check if the issue still occurs. If it does, there might be a problem with the plugin or your hosting provider.

If the issue is gone, you can start enabling plugins one by one. This way, you can tell which plugin is causing the issue. If that’s the case please let us know. So we can take a look and possibly solve the issue.

    Kind regards,
    Hessel

I will try to deactivate the plug-ins and see. Burst did work until a few months ago and I did not add any new plugins.

    Hi @mitch1138,

It could be that a change in a setting has caused the issue or just a general update. Let me know if you find what is causing this issue or if the issue is within Burst.

    Kind regards,
    Hessel

I was not able to disable the other plugins to check, so I will just live with it. Thanks for the help
