Statistics Site
-
It’s been about a month that the WP Statistics plugin on my WordPress site shows the site traffic as under 1K, while the actual traffic is over 80K.
What could be the issue?

Hi @amirer,
Thank you for reaching out.
Could you please follow our troubleshooting guide to verify if the tracker is functioning as expected? You can find it here: https://wp-statistics.com/resources/troubleshoot-the-tracker/
Additionally, we’d appreciate it if you could review the following settings in WP Statistics:
- Filtering & Exceptions settings: Active exclusions might be preventing all visitors from being recorded.
- Do Not Track (DNT) option (Statistics > Settings > Privacy & Data Protection): Being enabled, it respects the visitor’s browser setting to not track their web activity
- Main IP Detection Method: Found under Statistics > Settings > Advanced Options.
Looking forward to your response.

I’ve followed all the steps you mentioned, but the statistics are still being displayed incorrectly.
This issue has become quite problematic.Dear @amirer,
In order to assist you more effectively, could you kindly review the log files and let us know if you encounter any errors?
Additionally, may we kindly ask if you have checked for any potential conflicts between the plugins that could be impacting the statistics?
We would greatly appreciate any further details you can provide, as it will help us resolve the issue more efficiently.
Thank you for your cooperation, and we look forward to your response.
Best regards,
Hi dear @gandomi ,
We don’t have any specific plugins on our site that might cause conflicts, and we haven’t received any warnings either.
But I’m not sure where the problem is coming from.
The issues only started after we made some changes to our site’s theme design.
I’m not sure if this is related or just a coincidenceHi @amirer,
Changing the theme usually should not cause any issues with the plugin.
However, it’s still possible that the theme modifications introduced a conflict or affected the plugin’s normal tracking behaviour. To help us investigate further, could you please confirm whether you are using any caching plugins on your website?
Sometimes, caching can interfere with how changes or plugins behave. Also, I recommend double-checking the points mentioned in our troubleshooting guide here:
https://wp-statistics.com/resources/troubleshoot-the-tracker/
Please pay special attention to the sections related to caching and potential plugin conflicts.Looking forward to your reply.
Best regards,
No, we do not have any caching plugins on the website.
Hi @amirer,
Thank you for the update.
Since the issue started after the theme changes, it’s possible that the modifications are affecting the plugin’s tracking.
If possible, could you please try reverting to the previous version of the theme to see if the issue persists? This will help determine if the recent changes are causing the problem.
Looking forward to your response.
Best regards,
