Running latest version of woocommerce-square plug-in version 2.1.5. A customer ran into this issue today and his transaction could not go through. Ive seen this issue reported in other threads dated from 2019, and supposedly fixed in version 2.0.4. Seems like the problem still lingers. I will attache my site report below. Thanks for your support in fixing this matter…

Hi there @dcaron9999,

You’re right, this error was fixed in 2.0.5 release. Does that happen to all orders placed on your site?

Can you please make sure you enabled logging in WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Square and place the exact same order as your customer did (same discount or taxes, etc, if applied) and then check logs in WooCommerce > Status > Logs > choose square_credit-card logfile from the drop-down.

Please paste logs for this order and the order screenshot itself here. Don’t forget to reduce any personal and sensitive information from there.

This appears to be a different log file. There are two Square-related log files in WooCommerce > Status > Logs: square and square_credit_card:

Could you please send us the square_credit_card log for the failed transaction instead? Please make sure to remove any sensitive data from there.
